To Renumber / Restructure a Branch

Example used is the T850 project. Feel free to test on this project (if you still have it loaded).

1. Edit>Projects>Structure Manager.
2. Highlight the top level part for the required branch.
3. Go to Edit>Renumber/Restructure Branch.
4. Change Increment for required indenture (eg C indenture would be 3rd character in list).
5. Assume I have changed indenture C to increment of 3. So structure is now 0,3,6,9...
6. Press Continue and you will see that the structure has changed for this branch at the C indenture level.
7. I will not yet be able to add a peer at C indenture level at position 2 because the system will not allow anything not divisible by 3.
8. You must now go back to Edit>Renumber/Restructure Branch and set the C indenture level increment back to 1. But DO NOT press Continue, press Cancel. Then exit the screen and reenter saying YES to save changes.
9. The increment for the C indenture level is now set to 1 again, so exit the Renumber/Restructure screen again, by pressing Cancel. You will note that, since we have not yet pressed Continue the numbering still indicates 3,6,9...
10. Now add the peer in position required. It will go in fine.
11. Go back to Edit>Renumber/Restructure Branch and press Continue, this will reset the increment to 1.

Creating a Multimedia Library and Attaching Pictures / Videos / Sounds to LCNS and Parts

1. The Preferences table MUST be configured properly. For this example I am assuming the following:
1. All drawings/pictures will be opened through MS Paint;
2. All movies will be played through Media Player;
3. All sounds will also be played through Media Player.

To set up the Preferences table to accommodate the above:

The "Value" shows where the executable lies for that application. EG : The executable for Media Player is C:\WINNT\system32\mplay32.exe. This is found by simply pointing on the START button and right clicking (see below).

  1. Then find the application shortcut in Windows Explorer and right click to show Properties. Look at the "Target" line and copy/paste this to the Preference table line.

  2. Now the Preferences are set up to the correct applications, you can attach multimedia. Start by going to Structure Manager.
  3. Highlight the required LCN and go to MultiMedia > LCN. Then press the Attach button to see available multimedia to attach. You can also add new ones here. See screen shots show below.

Select the object you wish to attach and press the SELECT button. This will attach it to the LCN.

Now the object is attached. To view it press the VIEW button.
