Creation of S1000D Data Modules using OmegaPS

Summary

Weir Strachan & Henshaw are required to deliver Def Stn 00-60 S1000D data modules for the Astute program. As users of OmegaPS the selection of OmegaPS Publisher enabled the rapid and cost effective production of data modules directly from the LSAR and then managed and authored in OmegaPS Publisher.

Description

OmegaPS Publisher is a complementary product in the in the internationally recognised OmegaPS software suite. This development integrates an SGML/XML authoring environment and content management system with the core OmegaPS logistic support analysis software, providing a reliable and cost-effective method for generating and maintaining technical documentation in electronic formats and based on logistics data. OmegaPS Publisher manages multiple Document Type Definitions (DTDs), including S1000D variants.

Pennant has worked closely with Weir S&H to further develop OmegaPS Publisher with the addition of a number of tools and routines to further improve the OmegaPS suite and ensure LSAR data can be kept in line with the evolving technical documentation.

Status

The system work is complete. Pennant continues to support Weir S&H OmegaPS system under an annual support contract.
